Mandy M. Petrocelli
Mandy Petrocelli grew up near Detroit, Michigan and moved to Washington, DC in 1994. She obtained her law degree from the George Washington University National Law Center in 1997. She is a member of both the Virginia and DC bars.
After law school, Ms. Petrocelli began working at the Public Defender's Office in Fairfax County, where she gained significant experience representing both juveniles and adults in the Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court. Later, she represented exclusively adults in felony cases in the General District and Circuit Courts. She has represented clients in both misdemeanor and felony cases in federal court as well. She has also argued several cases before the Virginia Court of Appeals and the Virginia Supreme Court.
Throughout her career as an attorney, Ms. Petrocelli has practiced in nearly every court in Northern Virginia. She has extensive experience zealously advocating for clients in both jury and non-jury trials. She regularly represents people charged with felony and misdemeanor drug offenses, domestic assault, robbery, larceny, sex offenses, malicious wounding, gun charges, DWI and other traffic offenses.
In addition to being a certified guardian ad litem for children, Ms. Petrocelli has also represented numerous parents in proceedings where the Department of Social Services has petitioned to remove their children or terminate their parental rights.
Ms. Petrocelli believes that part of her success in representing clients comes from not being afraid to challenge the prosecutor's evidence and take cases to trial. She is committed to providing quality, zealous representation to each and every one of her clients and their cases.
Julie Flamant Hamilton
Julie Flamant Hamilton's practice focuses exclusively on defending individuals charged with traffic violations and criminal matters. Ms. Hamilton has extensive experience in defending individuals charged with traffic and criminal charges. She zealously advocates on behalf of her clients and has represented clients charged with misdemeanors and felonies including drug charges, sex offenses, grand larceny, embezzlement and traffic violations.
Ms. Hamilton has represented clients in nearly every court in Northern Virginia, including the courts located in the City of Alexandria and the counties of Arlington, Culpeper, Fairfax, Loudon, and Prince William. Ms. Hamilton also has represented clients in Montgomery and Prince George's counties in Maryland. Ms. Hamilton is a member of the Virginia and Maryland bars.
Julie Flamant Hamilton graduated with honors from American University Washington College of Law. Prior to becoming a partner at Hamilton & Petrocelli, PA, Ms. Hamilton practiced criminal defense the Law Offices of John Boneta and the Law Offices of Patrick Anderson.
Kelly Katherine Sprissler
Kelly Katherine Sprissler moved to Burke, Virginia in 1979. She graduated from Lake Braddock Secondary School and majored in Political Science at the University of Rochester. She graduated from the Touro College, Jacob D. Fuchsberg School of Law and became a member of the Virginia State Bar in 1997.
For her first year after law school, Ms. Sprissler worked as an Associate Attorney at Chandler, Franklin & O'Bryan, now The Chandler Law Group. She represented injured workers in their workers' compensation claims. She negotiated settlements and required insurance companies to pay benefits owed to injured workers.
Ms. Sprissler became a criminal defense attorney in 1999 and has been representing clients charged with criminal and traffic offenses exclusively since then. Ms. Sprissler has extensive experience representing clients in all Northern Virginia Courts. Ms. Sprissler has significant trial experience having tried numerous bench trials and jury trials. Moreover, Ms. Sprissler has secured not guilty verdicts for clients in many major felony trials for clients charged with crimes like incest, forcible sodomy, and rape. Ms. Sprissler has also negotiated hundreds of cases and has prepared and argued hundreds of sentencings for clients who have pled guilty to all manner of charges ranging from DWI 3rd offense to robbery, rape, and aggravated malicious wounding.
Additionally, Ms. Sprissler has extensive experience dealing with federal charges, plea negotiations, trials, and sentencing. Ms. Sprissler has many years of experience navigating the ever changing landscape of federal sentencing law. Ms. Sprissler has handled too many federal drug conspiracy cases to count. She has also handled federal counterfeit prescription drug cases, child pornography cases, immigration fraud cases, as well as misdemeanor and petty offenses.
Ms. Sprissler joined Hamilton, Petrocelli & Sprissler in October of 2007. She is delighted to be working with two close friends in her never ending pursuit of justice for all clients. She is an active member of St. Leo the Great parish and the proud owner of a Jack Russell Terrier named Daisy.
